Deploying the Edge Server at your e-mail gateway allows only clean e-mail to enter your network, freeing it from spam traffic, lessening the load and increasing the efficiency of your e-mail servers and removing the need to archive spam.
By providing the option of anti-virus on the Edge Server or on the 5.3 Policy Server allows an organization to provide exception anti-virus protection using a two tier approach to malware filtering.
