 MIMEsweeper User Forum
Following a declining level of interest from users in the MIMEsweeper User Forum (MUF) including the need to cancel the 2006 Annual Conference, it became apparent that the future of the MUF had to be seriously reviewed.
To date, the MUF has charged users an annual fee to become subscribers of the Forum and in addition to this there have been additional charges to attend events such as Workshops or the Annual Conference. Following a review, the MUF Committee believes that there are key areas of benefit that the MUF used to provide to subscribers which are now being provided as a no cost option to users directly by Clearswift. A good example of this is the series of Clearswift Roadshows organised earlier this year.
Due to the funding required to host the Annual Conference, it has proved impossible for the MUF to compete with the Clearswift Roadshows at a price that Subscribers are prepared to pay. In addition it is believed that the current Online Discussion Forum hosted by Clearswift are providing an excellent communication forum between MIMEsweeper users.
It is therefore with great regret that it has been decided that the MIMEsweeper User Forum is no longer financially viable and that it will cease trading on the 31st December 2006. We will therefore not be seeking a renewal of your subscription for 2007. The existing MUF Committee however do still believe that there is an important role to be played by a collective user voice and we are currently in discussions with Clearswift to define the exact setup and role of this 'Voice'. We hope to communicate this via the online MIMEsweeper Discussion Forums.
